The Grand Lodge of Antient Free and Accepted Masons of Scotland (founded 1736) is the 'head office' for Scottish Lodges in Scotland and overseas.
Under the Grand Lodge there is a secondary management system via Provincial (for within Scotland) and District (for overseas) Grand Lodges which act as an interim between the Freemasons Lodge and Grand Lodge.
Although the operation of Socttish Lodges can be somewhat different due to custom and historic traditions they are generally the same as other in mainstream Freemasonry.
